I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Mine was pretty good. I missed out on the cooking because I worked yesterday, but it was pretty cool to just come home and have the meal cooked with the family waiting for me. That wasn't the only thing waiting for me- a huge pile of dishes as well. I guess it's only fair. It's not like I actually washed them though...just a quick rinse and then into the dishwasher it went.

*****************************

How about them Longhorns, eh? I missed the game, as I was standing in countless lines for hours because I wanted to get in on the beginning of holiday shopping. I did get some pretty kick-ass things for myself...and others too, of course.

Anyway, next up is the Big XII championship game for UT. I think they're playing in Houston this year. Let's just hope that this year, the game isn't a repeat of what happened in 2001, when I was a sophomore at UT. Texas lost that game. So close too. Unfortunately, some property of mine suffered the consequences of that loss. Check out the pic below. I'd like to title this piece "Smashing Pumpkins," alternately titled "Why my party, the party upstairs, UT losing a championship game, alcohol, the moron guests upstairs, and harvest foods left over from Thanksgiving decorations do not mix." The Bastards. They did pay for it though. And boy, did they.
Of course, I was majorly pissed. But it's a little funny now. It was so random. The game was over, I go over to open the windows a bit more, and I see it all in slow motion- a pumpkin falling from above, heading towards my windshield, and then a big *thud, crack.* Why does weird shit like that always happen to me? I have an affinity for weirdness, I guess. I still get people joking around, saying, "Look out! Look out for those flying pumpkins!" or "Hey, where did you park your car today?" or "Hey, wanna come over and listen to some music? Oh, what kind? How about... some Smashing Pumpkins." Believe me, next Saturday, my car will not be parked near any balconies or leftover pumpkins from Thanksgiving.
