I remember Richard Scarry's Best Word Book Ever from when I was a little kiddo. Basically, all it was was just a bunch of pictures with labels. Ooooooooo, fascinating, right? Whoop-de-doo. But it's interesting how much it has changed from the original version of the book (1960s) to a more modern, but still dated (1991) version. There were changes made to be less sexist, more politically correct...but sometimes fails. And the names for some things back then? Sheesh.
