About time for an update, eh? It's been over a month since the last time I posted, I'm off today, and I'm extremely bored right now...so, why not? Nothing too exciting, just SSDD. Although yesterday may just have been the exception. I was driving to work on the highway yesterday afternoon and I'm following behind this Chevy Blazer in the left lane. In the right lane are two large trucks, each carrying one half of those factory homes. Now, I absolutely hate driving behind, next to, or overtaking those trucks because they take up nearly two lanes. I hate it even more after what happened. Anyway, driving along and all is dandy when next I notice is the whole damn roof of the first half of the house peel off and fly into my lane, shattering into pieces as it hits the road. At the same time, both I and the driver of the Blazer in front of me slam on our breaks and swerve into the grass to avoid the development of a huge accident.
While I'm sitting in my car wondering what the hell just happened, I look in the rearview mirror to see a bunch of other cars swirving. I get out, make sure the other driver and passenger are ok. The poor little girl in the passenger seat looked fucking terrified. Meanwhile, the trucks drive on straight ahead. I don't understand how they could not have seen that. Really. So I check my car, make sure I didn't get any flat tires, checked under the hood to make sure i didn't get any roof tiles under there. I know next to nothing about cars so it's a miracle I actually knew how to open the damn hood. All is well and dandy now, but the funny thing is that I think my car handles a lot better on the road after all that.
