Send As SMS

I'm finally logging on this thing after a 3-month hiatus of some sorts. Life happens and I kind of push this to the back burner. I've got this separate e-mail account that I use for this blog and all of the messages that I get related to it. I haven't logged on in months and forgot the password. Once able to get in, I noticed all these random e-mails. I mean, it didn't seem like spam or anything. It's like random people are sending me e-mails about "the party last night" or "weekend plans" or "whatever so-and-so did/said." And then they write back when they don't get a reply from their "intended recipient".

Who are these asshats that are sending me these messages? It's almost like someone stole/hacked the e-mail addy. Either that or they've gotten my e-mail addy confused with someone else's. I once got a $30.00 gift certificate for an Amazon.com purchase through my e-mail. The accompanying e-mail was addressed to someone (definitely not me) and included some anecdote about an event I knew absolutely nothing about. Did I keep the gift certificate and use it for myself? No. I e-mailed customer service and told them what had happened and asked them to contact whoever purchased the gift certificate and let them know that they had the wrong e-mail addy. Yes, I could have used the gift certificate for myself, but I think the guilt would bug the hell out of me.
