Only in the Philippines

Ok, so I meant to post this video a few weeks ago. Life happens...so sue me. Anyway, everyone's seen the filipino prisoners do the thriller dance. Here they are doing that Soulja Boy dance. There are only two things that bother me about this video:

1. They're dancing in tsinelas. I just have this weird memory of being seven years old and my mom not letting me wear tsinelas outside the house. Yeah, weird. I dunno.
2. They happen to be dancing to two of the Most. Annoying. Songs. Ever.

It's still good for a laugh though. I wonder if they take requests.... :-p



Do people go to the prison just to watch their dance routines? When the first video of them dancing to Thriller came out, I always joked that a typical sentencing would go like this:
"For the charge of grand larceny, I sentence you to...... 20 performances of dance routines from the Abba-inspired musical Mamma Mia." You know, weird stuff like that.

Anyway, I want to go back to the Philippines this year to visit. Haven't been back there since I was 3. I wonder what sorts of fun craziness I'd run in to.
